The Kateri Warriors
The group was formed
in 1993 to teach the
traditional ways of
singing and dancing
around the big drum.
Kateri Warriors make a
commitment to stay
free of drugs, alcohol
and non-sacred
tobacco use, and to
respect their elders.
The Kateri Warriors
are excellent examples
of how the best of
Native American
traditional ways and
the rich heritage of
Catholic teachings
come together to
create stronger, more
sacred lives.

The dreams and hopes of the Winnebago and Omaha elders still shines
brightly in the eyes of the children of St. Augustine Indian Mission. The
Legacy of St. Katharine Drexel is carried on by the Missionary Benedictine
Sisters, as well as by the many generous benefactors who bless the
mission with their love and resources.
